I just can’t believe how fast the time has gone. My mom (and everyone else’s, I imagine) has always said that time goes even faster as you age, and she wasn’t kidding.
2010 has definitely been a year I’ll remember, for reasons both good and bad.
It’s been a year in which I’ve made a house a home, comforted loved ones who went through rough times, said farewell to Neil’s grandma, saw my baby brother get married, broke free from the chains that were keeping me from fully growing my business, celebrated good news with friends, became one of many who declared the iPhone a life-changing device, took to the road weekend after weekend for out-of-town weddings, laughed a lot at my furry officemate named Kramer, embraced a really long autumn, rekindled my desire to finish my first novel, started a secret project (nope, I’m not telling!!!), became dazzled and daunted by New York City in person, and truly fell in love with being a resident of Kansas City.
And I’ve also met so many wonderful new clients and got to once again work with past ones. When we moved to Kansas City a year ago, I knew I was entering a market that was saturated with photographers. I knew there would be intense competition. But I am so thankful for those who came knocking on MY door to document the lives of their precious newborns, goofy toddlers, precocious children and zany families.
Here is a slideshow of some of my favorite images from this past year. It’s about 3 minutes long, which is crazy that a year full of work can be condensed to such a short amount of time. No job is easy, but I am very, very aware of how blessed I am to at least love the challenges that I wake up to everyday.

I will post my favorite images from engagement sessions…and favorite image from weddings over the course of the next two weeks. Stay tuned!!!
