Back in late May, Neil and I decided to take our first family vacation (not counting visiting either of our families!!) to Chicago. And we chose to do a road trip. With our 16-month-old. In planning our route, we were eager to find good places where we could stop and break up the long long long drive. Did I mention we had our 16-month-old? 😉
Well, a lightbulb went off when  we saw that Des Moines would be a good break on the way back. That’s because a friend of mine recently moved there from Omaha. And she had a baby back in October. AND…she had recently expressed the desire to have me shoot her family sometime if it could ever work out.
YAY, it worked out! We ended up staying with them after the hotel we booked was a total yucko…and the next morning, I got to capture this sweet stage in Baby Leo’s life. Sarah and Jason have such a beautiful home (and if it had been, oh I don’t know..spring-like weather??? Qe would have ventured outside a bit more, but it was COLD! IN MAY!!!) that Sarah claims is mostly due to Jason’s decorating touch. Nicely done!!!
We had such a great time with this family, and Leo was such a cute lil’ dude. Every image, I kept changing my mind whom he looks like more… so you decide. 😉 But regardless, he’s a stud muffin. And Weston definitely enjoyed meeting a “baby”… and playing with the buckles in his car seat. haha
Anyway…Sarah and Jason, thank you sooo much for your hospitality and for your business. You have such a darling family started and I hope I get to work with you all again. Or at least play more board games. 😉 xo to you all!!!!
Darbi's Mom - Oh my gosh, he is so darn cute! The pictures are beautiful! LOVE the ones of him sitting on the sofa with the hat on and his little arm over the pillow. What a riot! Great job Darbi!
Deb Kramer - Oh Darbi, some really wonderful pics – I agree with your Mom. Keep up the great work – his personality shows in the pics.
