Heather & Landon: A visionary’s wedding {Kansas City wedding photographer}
I have been looking forward to Heather & Landon’s wedding since they booked me because not only are they a physically stunning couple, but Heather’s decorating skills are as impressive as her animated personality is endearing. We met a few times in the past several months and when talking about their wedding, Heather’s eyes would light up as she described all the little things she was planning. And she was equally as ardent when talking about Landon.
So when Oct. 2 came, I was on my toes…and absolutely delighted with the entire wedding day. I had Amber Cutler at my side as my assistant and we gushed of excitement many a times as the day went on. No idea why though. (wink wink)
We’ll start with something cool…and something BLUE.
Heather had a lil’ buddy with her as she got ready.
Nothing made me more gleeful that day than seeing Heather laugh. And let’s just say I was gleeful a lot.
Tears also are welcome on wedding days. Real emotion, baby!
Um, hi. This is a gorgeous bride. And her bouquet is nearly as gorgeous. 😉
And let us not forget to see the goofy, crazy-socked groomsmen and groom.
This photo was one I almost tossed… it was way underexposed….but I popped the saturation just a tad and fell in love with it because it reminds me of the wedding colors Heather so lovingly chose!
(What’d I tell you about Heather’s laughter…..it just kept erupting!)
I should make a T-shirt that says “I swoon for amazing color palettes.” Because. I. Swoon. For. Amazing. Color. Palettes. SWOOOOOOOONING!!!
Gotta love this catch by Amber!
I could go on and on about how I am drawn to the flirty smile in Heather’s eyes above (as a photographer!!!) but suffice it to say, I sighed out loud when I took the photo. And I sighed again when I processed it. Landon, you lucky guy!!!
Ok, ok, on to the reception. Here is where Heather’s skill set came into play BIG TIME. She turned a corporate office space into a regally playful reception venue! With everything from darling salt & pepper shakers to a popcorn bar for a late night snack!
And a restful moment on the rooftop couch!
Last but not least… me with the couple. 🙂
Heather & Landon…wow. Wow. And…WOW. What an amazing day. What a fun wedding party. What a beautiful couple you two are!!! THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!!!
