I am now at the age where my friends are starting to have babies. It’s good practice to watch them all go through the tenuous steps of parenthood… and since the babies are cute, it gets me excited to someday have my own…(SOMEDAY far away, Mom!) 🙂
Anyway, one of my dear friends I met while working at Ruby Tuesday several years ago lives in Kansas City (I will be there soon!! woot!) … and she had her baby girl one week before my own sister popped out my first niece. My sister and Adrienne became friends through the process of being “with child” at the same time. And they both love me to death, so they have a lot in common. 😉
So meet Zoe…a fresh-faced adorable piece of girl whom her parents call Zoey Bear.
Her smile won me over every time.
Mommy makes her soooo happy. Sooooo happy. Soooo happy. Note the expression daddy got in the pic on the right…. sooooo not happy. haha
Two of my faves from the day. They remind me of Johnson & Johnson baby commercials or something. Mother and daughter are so beautiful together.
We attempted the outdoors. But the sun was so bright, even in the shade, that lil’ Zoebert (yes that is what I call her) didn’t last long.
But when she squinted and smiled at the same time… I got the below. AYKM!? Is that even a real baby? TOOOO CUTE!
The aqua chest Zoe is on is actually from her daddy’s childhood. And don’t you just LOVE how for the pic on the right, she was truly modeling…striking a pose. LIke Madonna…sans any cones on her girly regions.
Yep, every baby has to don the aqua/red hat that screams of Darbi G.!!! Zoe pulled this off fabulously.
This expression makes me laugh. IF only we could read her thoughts.
Don’t ask what mommy was doing to get such an expression!
Who spies an ornery lil’ girl in a delicious tutu?
In love I am with these next two pics. I can’t get over the innocence…the expression…the colors.
And we may or may not have made her unhappy trying to stick her in something that perhaps only newborns should go into. haha
The rest of the day, Zoe was happy… with happy feet. She laid on her mom & dad’s bed just entertaining herself. Toe-tally in awe with what will someday get her into trouble……
Who’s a happy baby again!? And if mom and dad are in the photo… at whom is Zoe grinning? That would be my husband…..dancing with a glowworm. (no pics, sorry…I didn’t want to aim away from this darlingness)
And we’ll close with a cherry on the bottom…. absolute preciousness, I tell ya.
Adrienne & Chris, I had so much fun getting to know your beautifully cute daughter and I can’t wait to watch her grow up…from a much closer distance. She is so perfect, and you two are such great parents. Thank you!!! xoxo
