Kansas City baby photographer: My niece is 27 years younger than I am

Holy crap. I can’t believe this time last year, I was still eagerly awaiting to see what cuteness my sister would birth in the form of my first niece. This past year has gone all too fast.

From teacup to darling Husker outfits I’ve had the HUGE-O honor of documenting darling Cailin’s first year.

For her one-year shoot (technically, she’s not a year until May 21), Nick & my sis Temple came down to KC again. And the adorableness that ensued…well, let me just say that I’m proud of this session for multiple reasons…

To give you a taste of Cailin’s incessant playfulness…this photo should do the trick

(since these pics, she’s “basically walking” according to my sister)

Then off to a park we went. Look what was waiting for us when we got there. All alone in the baseball field!

Cailin fell asleep in the truck, so we left the windows down, stepped a few feet away into the lovely foilage and took a few of Temple & Nick.

They are super mature. ALWAYS.

It’s not a surprise that Cailin is to-die-for cute. Considering her dad is kinda good-looking for a brother-in-law. (ha!) And then of course, my sister. Temple, you are so gorgeous. Know this.

Ok, so back to the real reason I was shooting. 😉

these next two… faves for sure. I was just going to post the B&W, but i LOVE the color, too. Sigh. Which do you all like better?

Her first swing!!!

Cailin’s first slide…These next two are here purely for the laugh factor. The one with Nick–Cailin’s expression. The one with Temple…Temple’s face. Please don’t hate me, Temp!! haha

Ok, now we move on. The 3rd Gibson offspring had a presence at the shoot as well. TEmple & Nick pilfered this chair from my parents’ basement. Said chair is owned by said 3rd Gibson offspring. But because this chair has been sitting unused in a corner… (And we all know, no one puts a cool chair in a corner…haha…) I have decided to hold the chair hostage until my brother and his soon-to-be wife come visit Neil & me. 🙂

Let’s just say…Cailin likes my idea.

And she likes dandelions.

So there you have it. A post of sweet lil’ Cailin. And now my sister can get off my back for a bit (no clients nag for their blog post quite like family members… haha).

Temple & Nick..once again, thank you for coming to our neck o’ the woods and for bring such a beautiful chair baby with you.
