G-licious Dishes: Pizza Pasta

Now this is a recipe that kids should love. I love it. It’s easy. It’s yummy. It’s not super healthy, but many things aren’t that you’re already eating, right? This at least can get some veggies in your diet.

It’s  a Pasta-roni dish. So nothing glamorous.

PIZZA PASTA (modified slightly to be a tad more healthy)
1 package of PASTARONI Angel Hair Pasta with Parmesan Cheese
½ c. marinara or pizza sauce
1.5 oz sliced pepperonis (I cut each piece in half)
1 medium green bell pepper, diced
5 mushrooms, sliced
2 green onions or ½ c red onion diced
¼ cup black olives if you like them (I don’t!!!)
¾ c. shredded mozzarella cheese
  1. Bring 2 c. of water to boil in large skillet. Stir in the pasta and special seasonings. 
  2. Reduce to medium heat.
  3. Gently boil uncovered 4 minutes or until pasta is tender
  4. Stir in remaining ingredients except mozzarella. Let stand 3 minutes.
  5. Before serving, top with mozzarella cheese.
