If you would have told me 10 years ago that I would be shooting the engagement session and wedding of Laura & Ty, I would not have believed it. They wouldn’t have either! Although they knew of each other while attending Omaha North in the late 90s, they didn’t become fully acquainted until just this last year. And their bond was undeniable from the get go.
I love blasts from the past. So when they contacted me about shooting their engagement this year (and their wedding is NEXT September!!!) I was so excited.
We met at Lauritzen Gardens in Omaha (note to brides & grooms: they do charge a fee to shoot there!!!) at 9 a.m. on a Sunday. This translated to… pretty much direct sun. And even though it wasn’t the hottest day of the year, these two were troopers through all their sweat!!
The grounds of course were beautiful, so we just walked around and caught these gems as the morning unfolded. Enjoy!!!

And this one…this is a sight I saw A LOT that day. Every time Laura’s cuffs came undone, Ty was at it, fixing his lady love’s pants. And let’s just say…I could have snapped 12 more of these. 😉 He’s a keeper, Laura!!
I stopped a few times because I couldn’t help but catch a few snaps of the flora & fauna.
I was leaning against a rock wall for a few more pics…and Ty saved my life. From what? From THIS!!!
